Looking for free entry to live music in London is no easy feat and Freddie quite literally patrolled through google to find the perfect place for a Saturday date night venue. Thankfully for you, you don’t need to, because we have found the best. place to go and listen to some Jazz and get tipsy.
The Bloomsbury Club is part of the Bloomsbury Hotel and is situated underground. The lighting is dark but atmospheric and they have a cocktail menu that focuses on Egyptian hieroglyphs, stemming from the founders historical connection with Ancient Egypt. The cocktails themselves are quite pricey though so Freddie and I opted for beer and wine, which came to roughly £20 a round, so still not cheap. The music was instrumental Jazz from a small band and it was therefore definitely worth buying a couple of rounds to listen and soak up the vibe. It also wasn’t too loud to chat so it’s definitely suitable for a date night.
Transport: A short walk from Tottenham Court Road Station (Central and Northern Line) or Goodge Street (Northern Line). If you’re travelling from South West London, take the train to Waterloo and you can get the Northern Line from there.
If you’re looking for live music that you don’t have to buy a ticket in advance for, and you want a chic but atmospheric date night, The Bloomsbury Club is the perfect place. It’s boujee, fun and it’s an excellent place to let the conversation flow as the alcohol pours!
